CJP reprimands NAB Karachi chief for ‘crossing limits’

Boss Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday reviled National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) Karachi boss Naseer Awan for 'crossing limits and mortifying individuals'.

"Aren't you embarrassed about troubling individuals with no reason? … you individuals are crossing limits … today your heads are down however have no disgrace," Justice Nisar was cited by Express News as saying while at the same time hearing a request of against the NAB's notice to senior legal counselor Salman Hamid.

The NAB Karachi chief general notified the court that the notice was issued after Hamid held up a case without earlier consent of a suspect. On which, the CJP scrutinized the department's thought process behind examination against the attorney.

"You issue see when somebody perform proficient obligation … you affront individuals by calling them in. Is this why the Almighty picked you? You indicate them around police lockups and after that even the Supreme Court neglects to spot them for the following a half year," he commented.
